The problem
Balanced Impact is an SEO strategy and advisory agency. When we met, they were planning a new website and developing a fresh look and feel - built around the idea of helping clients reach ‘peak performance’. But the verbal side of the brand wasn’t there yet.
They wanted a clear brand narrative and a distinctive verbal identity - something to unify their messaging, elevate them above the jargon-heavy noise in the SEO space, and help their website motivate customers.
Services we offered
What we did
- Ran two workshops: one to dig deep into the client’s motivations and map a simple but powerful brand narrative. The second to explore tone of voice and bring it to life through sample copy.
- Focused on making the work as collaborative and empowering as possible – so they could take full ownership of the outcomes and embed them across all communications.
- Tackled the biggest challenge of all: distilling a smart, multifaceted company down to a simple and emotionally resonant idea.
A message that clicks
Their new brand message reframed their work in terms of client success and long-term outcomes. It gave them a clear story to tell and a way to differentiate from the jargon-heavy competition.
A tone that feels true
We helped them find a voice that reflected who they really are – clear, warm, expert, with a touch of no-nonsense Scottish charm – and gave them the tools to use it confidently across channels.
And real business results
The new website is seeing significantly increased traffic and enquiries. But more importantly, the message is resonating – making it easier to engage new clients and work better with existing ones.
There has been a lot of inconsistency that has been introduced to our brand over the years as we've evolved as a business, we wanted to take a step back and refine. The process was clear and easy to follow: Olly facilitated the workshops and kept us on track. We found the project really valuable in terms of engaging with our clients and all the feedback has been really positive. The work we did with Olly was a critical piece of the puzzle
